Residents Comments

Here's what residents have to say about our program

鈥 I would say the people. We have such an amazing department filled with caring and supportive people. Glad to have found a family away from home!."

鈥漁ur program is unique in that we are very close-knit and supportive of each other. It is like having a second family.鈥

鈥漈he faculty we have are so dedicated and love to teach. They make the training experience a great one!鈥

鈥漈he time, dedication, and effort that is devoted to our education and experience, which equips us with confidence to take on challenges for when we are on our own.

鈥漁ur program is unique because it is a very family-friendly atmosphere, and you get a lot of support. Everyone works to give you the best education without overwhelming you. It鈥檚 a great learning atmosphere!鈥

鈥滲eing from west Michigan made this program attractive to me, but moreover the commitment to mentoring residents, dedication to teaching, and camaderie between faculty has made intern year beyond a positive experience.鈥

鈥漈he wide-ranging cases I have seen and the support I have received from my colleagues have helped me grow professionally and personally while still stressing a work-life balance.鈥

鈥滽alamazoo is a great place to live with a lot of outdoor activities, and I could not think of a better place to train in psychiatry!鈥
